[§142] The Saints Are Given Dominion at Adam-ondi-Ahman
Daniel and John both prophesied that Jesus Christ will take dominion on earth during the future gathering at Adam-ondi-Ahman in Daniel chapter 7 and Revelation chapter 11, respectively.1 Daniel also prophesied in Daniel 7:27 that "the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High."2 In the short term, this prophecy means that exalted saints will inherit the earth and rule with Christ in the kingdom of Zion during the millennium.3 In the long term, it means that exalted saints will inherit the earth as their celestial kingdom and will rule with Christ throughout eternity.4 For this prophecy to be fulfilled in both the short term and in the long term, the saints of the Most High must qualify to rule and reign in the house of Israel forever.5
Saints that reign forever in the house of Israel6 must enter the Patriarchal Order of the Priesthood through the temple sealing ordinance which is also called celestial marriage.7 The Lord established celestial marriage as one of the foundations of Zion during the ancient gathering of saints at Adam-ondi-Ahman.8 During the future gathering of saints at the same location, the Lord will build on that foundation when he actually crowns the saints of the Most High as kings and queens.9 These kings and queens from all ages will receive their inheritance and dominion10 when Zion is redeemed11 and when Christ's millennial kingdom destroys all other earthly kingdoms.12
