[§148] Rev 10:5-7: No More Delay After Adam-ondi-Ahman
Revelation 10:5: And the angel which I saw stand upon the sea and upon the earth lifted up his hand to heaven.
Christ will be coronated King of kings during the future gathering at Adam-ondi-Ahman as he takes dominion upon the sea and upon the earth.1 At that future day, he will raise his hand to heaven as though taking an oath of office.2 The raised right hand is an ancient practice in oath making3 and a recognized gesture of power in ancient coronation ceremonies.4
Revelation 10:6: And sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer
To validate the truth of his oath5 and to make it more solemn,6 Christ swears by himself in Revelation 10:6.7 His oath will endure forever because Christ is the eternal one that liveth for ever and ever.8 Christ can justifiably make an oath in his name because he created heaven ... the earth, and ... the sea, and the things which are therein.9 These creations are mentioned in connection with the oath because he will have all power over these creations when he becomes the earthly King of kings and Lord of lords.10
When Christ swears with an oath at Adam-ondi-Ahman he makes a solemn covenant that there should be time no longer.11 This phrase has generated a variety of interpretations12 based on the meaning of the individual words13 and their largely misunderstood context.14 The context is, of course, the gathering of saints at Adam-ondi-Ahman, where time no longer means delay no longer.15 In other words, Christ swears that from the time of his earthly coronation at Adam-ondi-Ahman he will no longer delay the execution of his judgments on the wicked people of the earth.16 This is the day of vengeance for which martyrs have prayed since the apostolic era during the fifth seal as recorded in Revelation 6:9-10.17 The Great Tribulation will follow Adam-ondi-Ahman when the time for repentance will be past for many wicked people.18 Christ's judgments will be poured out during the 3½ years of the Great Tribulation and without measure at the Second Coming.19
Time no longer in Revelation 10:6 has the same meaning as the time and times and the dividing of time (or 3½ years) in Daniel 7:25,20 and the "time, times, and an half" in Daniel 12:7.21 All three phrases refer to the time and date when the saints will gather to Adam-ondi-Ahman for Christ's coronation at the midpoint of Armageddon, just 3½ years before the Second Coming.22
Revelation 10:7: But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.
The seventh angel in Revelation 10:7 refers to the seventh trumpet angel of the seventh seal, whose trumpet will sound after the gathering of saints at Adam-ondi-Ahman.23 This gathering occurs at the midpoint of the Second Woe that is heralded by the sixth trumpet angel in Revelation 9:13. The seventh trumpet angel, by contrast, heralds events that correspond to the Third Woe.24 Thus, when the seventh trumpet angel sounds his trumpet25 the judgments of the Second Woe (sixth trumpet angel) will end in Revelation 11:14 and the final judgments of the Third Woe will come quickly.26 The final judgments of the Third Woe are a series of very rapid and worsening plagues called bowls or Vial Plagues.27 The Vial Plagues will complete the earth's cleansing process and then the mystery of God should be finished28 at the Second Coming.29 In this context, the mystery of God is the entire work of salvation and the establishment of Christ's kingdom on earth.30 This mystery of God will be consummated without fail because Christ swears it with an unbreakable oath at Adam-ondi-Ahman.31 Furthermore, Christ's work should be finished exactly as he hath declared to his servants the prophets throughout all ages of time.32
