Revelation 19:14: And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.

Christ will not be alone when he descends from heaven to conclude Physical Armageddon during the seventh Vial Plague of the Third Woe.¹ He will be accompanied by multiple armies² of exaltation-worthy saints³ that are frequently called angels.⁴ This heavenly host⁵ follows Christ upon white horses⁶ for they are like him in royal stature.⁷ They are the kings of the east from Revelation 16:12 that prepared for the battle⁸ to be held in the valley of decision at Jerusalem.⁹ They are the 144,000 Servants that will stand with Christ on mount Zion as exalted kings and queens.¹⁰ They are the Church of the Firstborn.¹¹ They are the bride of the Lamb that descends with him after their marriage on mount Zion in heaven.¹²

John saw plural armies descend with Christ because the heavenly host will be very large in number¹³ and diverse in their makeup.¹⁴ This heavenly host of armies will include: (1) citizens from the City of Enoch that were translated and taken into heaven and then resurrected at the time of Christ's resurrection,¹⁵ (2) exalted saints resurrected with Christ in the meridian of time,¹⁶ (3) saints that have died since the meridian of time who are resurrected in the morning of the first resurrection to an exalted state before their marriage to the Lamb on mount Zion,¹⁷ (4) exaltation-worthy saints living as mortals on earth that will be quickened (translated or transfigured) and caught up to meet Christ as he descends in glory,¹⁸ and (5) the Lost Ten Tribes in their translated condition.¹⁹

The armies that accompany Christ at his Second Coming are clothed in fine linen, white and clean²⁰ to symbolize their purified and exaltation-worthy status.²¹ They have the same clothing as the bride of the Lamb in Revelation 19:8 because they are the bride.²² Their clothing is made clean and white by the blood of the Lamb,²³ and it will not become metaphorically blood-stained when they come with Christ in the clouds of heaven because they are not combatants in Physical Armageddon.²⁴ Christ will wield the sword of justice alone and he will tread the winepress alone to destroy the remnant of wicked telestial²⁵ mortals in the final physical battle in the area of Jerusalem.²⁶ However, the armies who are the bride of Christ will be combatants in the final battle of Spiritual Armageddon against the disembodied spirit sons of perdition that follow the Beast and False Prophet in Revelation 19:19-20,²⁷ and also against the unembodied spirit sons of perdition that follow the Dragon in Revelation 20:1-3.²⁸
