[§170] Rev 11:2: The Court Given to the Gentiles Is Not Measured
Revelation 11:2: But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles.
In Revelation 11:1, John measured the Holy of Holies and Holy Place in the future Third Temple at Jerusalem.1 He also measured them that worship therein, which means he judged the remnant of righteous Jews that will be worthy to stand with Christ on the mount of Olives at the Second Coming.2
In Revelation 11:2, John is told that he must not measure the court outside the Third Temple3 for it is given unto the Gentiles.4 The Gentiles are the wicked nations5 that will be gathered against Jerusalem and the Jews in the battle of Armageddon.6 These same Gentiles will tread down Jerusalem during the 42 months of the Great Tribulation.7 The unmeasured Gentiles are rejected as profane outcasts8 that will be destroyed at the Second Coming9 together with any other unmeasured people that figuratively stand with them.10
The Holy of Holies and Holy Place represent the celestial and terrestrial glories, respectively.11 The outer court of the temple represents telestial glory.12 Anyone unworthy of celestial or terrestrial glory will be without measure, and will be destroyed no later than the Third Woe at the Second Coming.13 Sons of perdition receive no kingdom of glory, and they figuratively stand outside or beyond the outer court of the temple.14 In general, mortal sons of perdition will be destroyed as a group no later than the end of the Second Woe.15
