Lucifer Falls and the Physical Creation Begins
The Fall of Lucifer and the Fall of Adam
God the Father presented the plan of salvation to all His spirit children during the grand council in heaven on Kolob. At that gathering, Lucifer rebelled (Abraham 3:27–28) and fell from his high standing as a son of the morning to his low standing as perdition (2 Nephi 2:17; 2 Nephi 9:8).
Lucifer’s fall on Kolob foreshadows Adam’s fall in the Garden of Eden. The conditions of Lucifer’s fall during the grand council reflect the conditions of Adam’s fall on earth. The one is instructive of the other.

Parallels Between the Two Falls
The similarities in the fall of Lucifer and the fall of Adam include the following:
State of Innocence: Before Lucifer’s fall, the premortal first estate was clean and God’s spirit children were innocent—just as Adam and Eve were innocent in the clean environment of Eden before Adam’s fall.
Presence of God: God’s spirit children were in His presence before Lucifer’s fall, as were Adam and Eve before theirs.
Spiritual Consequences: The fall of Lucifer caused the spiritual fall of all things on Kolob, just as the fall of Adam caused the spiritual and physical fall of all things on earth.
Separation from God: After Lucifer’s fall, God’s spirit children on Kolob could no longer remain in His presence—just as Adam and Eve could no longer remain in God’s presence and were cast out of Eden.
A “Fall Forward”: Both the fall of Lucifer and the fall of Adam were falls forward, providing an opportunity for the growth and ultimate exaltation of God’s children (Abraham 3:25–26).
The Physical Creation
Christ was selected to be the Creator during the grand council that concluded with Lucifer’s fall. The physical creation began after Christ’s selection.
Jesus Christ (Jehovah) created all things in this physical universe using the power delegated to Him by the Father, except mankind. God the Father Himself was the literal Father of the physical bodies of Adam and Eve (Moses 6:22).
Worlds Without Number
The physical creation involved “worlds without number” (Moses 1:33).
The Order of Creation for the physical universe progressed from lowest to highest in intelligence (Doctrine and Covenants 29:30):
Telestial worlds were created first.
Terrestrial worlds followed.
Celestial worlds—where mortals could dwell—were last in the creative sequence.
This celestial earth, with Kolob as its inward spirit, is the most intelligent of all worlds. Christ created it last in this generation. The creation of our earth occurred at the end of the War in Heaven, when Lucifer was cast out and came down to this physical realm (Revelation 12:7–9).
In addition to these worlds without number, Christ created plants and animals to beautify them. Here is the likely sequence. Telestial and terrestrial worlds were created in ascending order of intelligence. When the time came to create the first celestial world (not this earth) for mortal human habitation, the creation of that earth followed the blueprint in Genesis 1.

Earth itself
Physical plants
Animals
Humans
When Christ created plant life for the first celestial world, He also created corresponding plant life for all connected telestial and terrestrial worlds. The same process followed for animal life.
Then, God the Father created the first Adam and first Eve in heaven for that initial celestial world. On the seventh day of the creative process for this first celestial world, all life was placed on this world and on all its connected terrestrial and telestial worlds.
